How to play
Lucky Devil
Lucky Devil is a re-creation of No Devil by the same designer that created the original No Devil. Lucky Devil is created at the standards of 2020 and with a decade more experience.
Both games are very similar to each other. Who knows how to play No Devil knows how to play Lucky Devil and vice versa.
If you like No Devil you might do yourself a pleasure by giving Lucky Devil a try too. Lucky Devil is not an old game in a new design, it is a new game.
Matching a number give you 250 points.
Matching a line gives you 1000 points.
Matching the pattern gives you 2500 points.
Matching the entire board gives you 5000 points.
The multiplier determines if the scores specified above will be multiplied by 1, 2 or 3.
There are mystery coins that add 5% on top of your score.
Revealing a multiplier will increase your multiplier, it starts with 1 and can become first 2 and then 3. Watch out for the devil though, the devil decreases your multiplier.
Well...it doesn't decrease your multiplier when it is already 1. Thus getting that devil before getting the multipliers is a good strategy.
During the game you get 2 times a bonus round. Each bonus round contains either:
- 1,2 or 3 free spins,
- 3 or 5 mystery coins,
- 5 Jokers.
You cannot know when the bonus round will come and what it will be, but you do know there are 2 bonus ronds.
After playing these 2 numbers, from the red arrow pointing to the 9 we know that the devil has to be at the field with number 9.
The blue arrow shows where a multiplier is, thus that is at 51 or 65.
I could use the Joker to play 65 and perhaps take X2, but that is risky as then I have to avoid to play 9. I would prefer taking the devil before taking multipliers.
Thus the Joker goes on number 66. Because this is both on a diagonal and on a horizontal line with already a tile matched. That last fact makes 66 a better choice than 69.
After I played 66 I click the spinner to move to the next round.
The next round starts with 750 points due to the 3 tiles I matched.
I got a joker on the first column. Awesome! So I can match the devil. I match 9, done... devil gone!
And then there are 2 more number matches: 20 and 74.
After I matched what there is to match, I click the spinner and go to the next round.
This round gives 8 and 58.
So click them and then the spinner to go to the next round.
But take 58 first!
58 might contain a multiplier. Because one multiplier has to be at 51, and the other will be at 34 or 38, that is what the blue arrows tell us.
Thus if the multiplier is at 58, then I will get the 250 points for matching the 8 double.
We throw away a 50% chance on 250 points more when matching 8 first. In return for that we get ...nothing.
Play thoughtful for this sort of details. Many games are lost or won with only a few 100 points more or less than the score needed, so take points when you can take them for free. TAKE THEM!
Ooh, my score made a jump. Revealing X2 does give 4000 points. Later on we will see that revealing X3 even gives 6000 points.
And now, don't count it out, will you?
You might figure out that I played 8 and then 58, despite all what I wrote above. Thus by not paying enough attention I did throw 250 points. My score could have been 6250 by now.
This round only brings us a match at 63. Thus I play that and then the spinner to move to the next round.
Did I write "make sure not to miss one" ?
Hmmm. Blushes. I missed 55 last round.
This round I won't miss any numbers. i can match 24 and 46 and then choose where to play the wild: 34, 41 or 40?
After 24 and 46 being matched both 34 and 41 will complete a horizontal line. 34 is much move valuable though because it is also on the green pattern.
If I manage to complete that pattern during the game it will give another 2500 points, and combined with the multiplier that will be 5000 or even 7500.
So I click 24, 34, 46, then double check, triple check and check one more time that I did not miss a number. Then I click the spinner to go to the next round.
This round we see a mystery coin and thus I get 5% extra on top of my score.
That score was 7500 plus 3 number matches of each 250x2 plus one line of 1000x2, making 11000. Thus the 5% extra is 550. Please note the multiplier does not effect mystery coins.
Furthermore there is not much to do this round. We can match 54, then check and check again not to miss a number, and click the spinner to go to the next round.
Near the end of the game, when most numbers are already matched, the risk for dull rounds with nothing to match increases too.
I would like to have a match in one of the 4 following rounds. As long as that match is anything else as 3 it will make a line, and gives me 3000 points.
I am not a math genius but 38653+3000 is more than 40888 and thus with such a match I will win.
A mystery coin. Fun, now I am only 302 points short of a victory.
302, 3020, 30200, it doesn't matter, whatever I score if it is 40888 or less I loose, and otherwise I win. Almost winning is as bad as not winning at all.
The good part of the mystery coin is that the score I need is now so little that also a 3 would mean a win.
2 rounds to go. Any match (or another mystery coin) and it is a win!
